I love Electra / Elektra, but I know it wouldn't be the easiest name to carry. Then again, I'm always struck by my jealousy when I see a funky / unusual name like this used in real life. How many times have I sat in a theater reading the credits and kicking myself because someone else named a child Bathsheba / Consolata / Ishbel before I got the chance? Lots, let me tell you.

It's all academic for me because I won't be having kids. But I still get that pang of jealousy. I wouldn't want you to run into a real life Electra / Elektra one day and feel the same way. It might be worse for you since you're really in a position to use it.

Is Electra / Elektra usable? It is if you use it. :-) She can always go by Ellie / Ella if she isn't ready for the full on Greekiness of it. But the day will come when she gets it, and what a happy day for her. :-D

Tricky. Whatever you do, please do not use Lux (Electrolux is a brand) or Kate (sound like electrocute) as mns. I suspect you'll have a time convincing a significant other to use it so you might as give free reign to your Electra fancy now.
