[Facts] Siabh
I ran across this name a while back, and for a while was under the impression that it was pronounced "Sihv" (the page I found it on said that was the pronunciation). However, I'm questioning whether or not this is the true pronunciation. Any knowledge shared will be appreciated. Thanks!

My daughter's name is Siabh and it is sometimes also spelt Saibh. However the correct Irish spelling is Sadhbh- too hard for me! However given we live in Australia we decided to spell it beginning with "Si" (although technically it does create the "Sh" sound as someone posted). It means good or sweet and is pronounced "Sive" as in rhymes with five.
Could it be a typo of Saibh? (Click link for more info)
It might be, or it might be an alternate spelling? (Siobhan and Siabhan are both other Irish names and they both have the Si-bh thing going on), but in trying to find where I originally found the name to check, I ran across a few things that say "Siabh" is pronounced "Sive", and it looks like that's also how "Saibh" is pronounced, so... either way, your comment helped xD
Strange how only when I'm asking for help from other sources, Google is helpful xD
