[Opinions] Sunniva
What do you think of Sunniva?
And how do you pronounce it? I've seen people say that they pronounce the first syllable both as in "sun" and as in "soon." I pronounce it somewhere in between, with the vowel sound sounding like the one in the middle of "could." Do you think that this pronounciation is too unintuitive? I think that that's the proper (or as close as I can get to proper) pronounciation, but I'm not entirely certain.
Any combo suggestions? I'm having a lot of trouble with middle names for this one.

I think it's pretty. Because of the "sun" part I feel that it's a very cheery and happy name, which is great!
I say the Sun- part like the word "sun". I don't really know how to say it with the "ou" out of "could" - it just sounds the same!

I actually pronounce the "sun" a lot like you do- halfway between sun and soon. If I had to pick one rather than use a hybrid I'd go with soon.
I also put the accent on the second syllable. Is that right/how everyone else says it?

Yeah, the "could" sound is the closest to the Norwegian pronunciation.
Sunniva used to be my very favourite name, but it died down when I got confused about the proper intonation and eventually realised it's not stressed the way I would like (I think - I'm still not quite sure ... I know the Norwegian way, but I'm not sure how it would translate into Swedish) My favourite combo for it was Sunniva Lilja Natalia.

How is it stressed? I don't actually know the correct way..
It's SUNN-i-va in Norwegian (but I want it to be SUNN-ee-va, with secondary stress on "ee"). Listen here: forvo.com/word/sunniva/#no
