Roots be darned, it sounds like a girl name to me! I like it. Although I have the sneaking suspicion that car manufacturers might use it - if they haven't already.

Ha ha! That's crossed my mind before. I'm half expecting to see a commercial for the 2012 Toyota Seneca or something.

I was just thinking about this name recently, and I agree that it sounds very feminine to me, but I understand the masculine background... I like it on a girl more though.
As for the car thing, I looked it up because I agreed it sounded familiar, and Dodge made a Seneca in '60 and '61, but it was a nice looking car and pretty darn old for a child born now to be connected to. :)
