I love both of these names. I would pick Julian over Julius though. I feel that Julius is a little pretentious and a little too "ancient Rome". Julian, especially Julien, is just so handsome. It has been flirting with my top three recently, particularly because I love the nn Jules. I would actually use Julien on a modern child whereas Julius feels like it belongs in another time.
