[Opinions] Julius or Julian
And why? Also do you like either of those names?

Julian.
I like both, but I slightly prefer Julian, I think because you don't have the Julius Caesar thing with it!
Julian!
I love it for many reasons, mainly because I love the sound of names that end in n. Also, it doesn't come with the Caesar reference.

Julian is the name I prefer out of the two. I just prefer the sound of it over Julius.
Julian
I like both, but I absolutely adore Julian. It's my current number one name for boys.

Julius. I really like a lot of -ius names for boys, I think it's handsome and a little more off-the-path. I do like Julian a lot but Julius is my preference.
I love Julius. So Julius :)
Julius.
I just think it's the handsomer and more interesting name. I used to babysit a little Julius, and I thought it was adorable on a little boy.

Julian.. and I love it :)
As a FN I prefer Julian, as a MN, Julius
I love both but as a FN Julius strikes me as a bit of a heavy load

Julian.
While I love both, Julian has been one of my top favorites for years, literally and I love it more than Julius.

I like both, but they give different vibes, Julius is handsome and dignified, Julian is elegant and slightly preppy. Possibly overall I prefer Julius.
Julian.
I love Julian but dislike Julius, it sounds like an old man's name.

Julian...
It sounds more handsome to me. More than that though, Julius makes me think of that place called Orange Julius that is teamed up with Dairy Queen or something.
I do like both names though. Some people say Julian sounds feminine because of its similarity to Julianne, but I disagree. I like that "ju" sound on boys. Actually one of my gp names on a boy is Jules. I like Jude and Judas too.

I'm not generally a fan of -us names. Plus Julius makes me think of Orange Julius, and while they're very tasty, it's just kind of a silly association for a name.
Julian I actually didn't used to be a huge fan of because I thought it seemed too weak, but eventually I started seeing it as much more of a strong name. It does have a gentle side still, but not in a negative way. It also is significant to me because I associate it with St. Julian's, a winery where I am from that's sort of always been around in my life (sponsered my soccer team when I was a kid, etc.).

I like both names but I prefer Julius. It's more interesting in my opinion. I think I would use Julius in real life but not Julian. I just prefer the -us ending to the --an ending.
I prefer Julian. Julius is less popular, but I find the sound of Julian more appealing.
I love both of these names. I would pick Julian over Julius though. I feel that Julius is a little pretentious and a little too "ancient Rome". Julian, especially Julien, is just so handsome. It has been flirting with my top three recently, particularly because I love the nn Jules. I would actually use Julien on a modern child whereas Julius feels like it belongs in another time.

Hm. I'd probably be more likely to use Julian because it seems like the safer option, although I do like the idea of Julius because it stands out from the very large "-an" crowd of boys names.
I like both of them, but I greatly prefer Julius. Julius is a much stronger option, IMO. It's a great classic that packs a punch. Julian is still pretty good, though.
Julius!
I like both, but Julius has a more classic feel, and it's not as popular without being a creative twist to try a be different. I love Julius and it's on my list to use. My ex-fiance had a nephew Julius and I was greatly upset my top name wouldn't be an option. That's not why it didn't work out, but still.... I wouldn't personally use Julian, but it's still a nice name.

I definitely prefer Julian. It's so handsome and dark. Julius just makes me think of Caesar and Orange Julius.
I usually dislike names which end in "ius" but I would choose Julius over Julian because I always think Julian sounds really effeminate. For some reason, I imagine Julian (also Justin) as a really camp guy!
Julian. Julius reminds me of Orange Julius.
