My friend is interested in finding out the meaning of his name. He is Indian but says he has also met a few Korean and other Asians named Shibin, though I'm thinking it is an Indian origin. While doing a google search I've found a city named Shibin/Shebin El Kom in Egypt but I don't know if it is related or not. If you have any information or any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Apparently Shibin can be male or female.
