General Rules: *** Please age everybody in your family 1 to 3 years. *** Everybody has received a new Queen and a child (do NOT change the age of the new child). *** ALL names of the new Queen are completely up to you. *** If you need inspiration on the new Queen’s name, you can check out Round 1’s namebank. Every child must have at least 2 (or more) MNs. *** The new prince/ss’ names must ALL come from the names used in other user’s Royal Families. *** There are no changes allowed. You are also not allowed to use any name that you have already used in your immediate Royal family.
Example: Aderyn Azula could use “Efisio” or “Crispian” or “Remiel”, or many others, from my Royal Family’s names, but could NOT use Rafael because she has already used the name in her Royal Family. Also britto08 could not use James from any of the multiple Royal Families because she already has used the name James in her Royal Family.
Writing Prompt: One month was all the time allowed for morning of the late Queen. After that, the King entered into a one-month engagement and was then married. Everything was rushed so that stability could return to your Kingdom and your King could focus on the war. The Royal advisors even attempted to rush the first child! After all, a Royal marriage is not legal if an heir is not produced… at least when there is a succession to think about. The new Queen is young (how young is up to you – but she must be old enough to have children!). This is causing some friction between the new Queen and the King’s oldest child (if you have kept the ages up correctly, the oldest child should be between 9 and 13 years-old). How does the King feel about his new Queen? Does her age make him more or less inclined to like/be attracted to her? Oh, and remember that turmoil of the invading army… they’ve backed off, for now… but they certainly shouldn’t be forgotten!

Even after the official mourning period ended, many of the kingdom's citizens could be seen wearing a black ribbon in their braid or a black handkerchief tucked into their shirt pocket. But with war brewing at their borders, the Rossinestians and their Royal Family must put their grief aside and move forward to protect their country. King James made very quiet arrangements with one of Rossinest's traditional allies. The countries had been growing distant in recent years for various reasons, and with the threat of war looming, James and the Royal Advisers began to reconnect with the Royal Family of Sweetbourne. To solidify the burgeoning alliance for years to come, King Daniel suggested that his only daughter marry King James. Knowing that he had no acceptable heir, the grieving king proposed to the young woman. Both parties were hesitant, but recognized that the marriage was in the best interests for everyone involved.
Princess Mary is a lovely young lady. Though only 17 when she married James, she has accepted her new role as queen and stepmother with grace and dignity.

However, the headstrong young King was a very bloodthirsty young man who was hoping to increase the size of his Kingdom through whatever violent means were at his disposal. Lord Dov had a proposition for King Estienne. If King Estienne were to attack just before dawn in 3 days time, Lord Dov would make sure that the young King of Uwit and his supporters (who, he claimed, coincidently set up the sabotage with Queen Felipa's medicine) were in a particular field and vulnerable. Lord Dov would do all of this, but only if King Estienne would marry his oldest daughter.

With the difficult situation with the triplets weighing on everyone's mind, Gideon and Theodosia got to it. Theodosia was awkward and overly emotional, making Gideon long for Octavia more than he had already. He missed her so much. Theodosia and Gideon's marriage was rather more of a friendship than a relationship – there was no passion, Gideon was still mourning Octavia and barely noticed his new wife, only four years older than his eldest child. Maude did not seem to like Theodosia much, but all was forgotten when it was discovered Theodosia was pregnant. The kingdom was overjoyed, especially when also notified that the invading army had backed off for now. Only a few months later, the next child from the house of Greybank was born. A son! Due to her youth, Theodosia recovered quickly, and insisted on names from her family tree for their son. Gideon agreed. This would be good for linking the two families. They named himElias Maximilian James Ignatius. He was beautiful, born with thick black hair and bright blue eyes. Okay, so I haven't done the last round yet, and I was planning on posting it here, but I had a question from that round. Should the King still marry Cecilia's older sister (next in like for the throne), even thought she's no the daughter of a possible ally?
Also, will the next round be posted before next Monday?

Yes, please post the last round here, or at least the most current changes.
If that is the way that you have the line of succession set up, then yes he should most likely marry the older sister - unless she is already married! A marriage to an older sister may make it difficult in future Writing Prompts though. If you want to change and have him marry somebody else, then you could maybe have the sister abdicate in favor of the current king?
As for the next round, I was thinking about trying to get it up Sunday... but I'm being very slow on the rounds so that I don't end up overdoing myself... feel free to do the same :)

Queen Faustina came from a neighboring kingdom, Dunlin, and her marriage was to help keep the peace in the land. As far as Prince Caspar was concerned though, he would have rather a war had broken out.
In fact he told as much to his father.
"Father, this lady is mean and not kind and sweet like Mother. Please, don't marry her. Let's go to war instead. Uncle Basil has been training me everyday for all my life! I can help lead your armies, truly!"
King Adrian smiles fondly to his oldest son. "I'm sure you could, Caspar, but it is better to make peace than war. Give Lady Faustina a chance. I am certain she will come around."
She did not though. Months later the king shared a private luncheon with his new young wife.
"Why don't you send him to that island with his brothers and sisters? Surely he'd be happier among his mother's people." Caspar overheard her complaining from another room.
"I have sent away my three youngest to the Isle of Flowers as you requested, my lady, but I'm sending to have Alexis rejoin the household. The Florians pass their inheritance through the female line, so my daughters are being trained to carry on in the Florian tradition and will remain there save for the occasional visits. However, I will have my sons trained in the Gaian tradition. When Robert and and Anthony are a bit older, they will rejoin too."

Queen Alina Serene I was crowned exactly a month after the death of the former queen. During her coronation it was also announced that she would marry Jasper, the widower of the former queen.
Jasper wasn't really happy with his new arranged marriage. Cordelia Amabel had been the love of his life and he missed her deeply. He was not ready to marry anyone so soon after losing his loved one, let alone a sixteen-year-old girl. Alina Serene wasn't too happy about the marriage either. She had never expected to become the ruler, and had been secretly dating the son of her teacher, a commoner. But now as the Queen she was required to have a noble marriage. She felt awkward that she was arranged to marry the widower of her late aunt, but she didn't have a choice.
Though Jasper doesn't love Alina Serene romantically he has always treated her kindly and during the two years they have been married he has learned to really respect her.

Moreover, custom in Dunlin also dictated that the youngest child inherit whatever lands and titles belonged to their father or mother. Since Yvaine was first in line to succeed her father, Joseph Wilhelm stood to gain a great deal from marrying her.
In return for her hand, the king agreed to betroth one of his illegitimate sons to another daughter of Duke Aldric. This was nothing to scoff at, for a bastard son of the king was a son of the king nonetheless. Indeed, the boy's mother was one of the late queen's ladies in waiting, the daughter of a noble house which had served the Tyrian line proudly and loyally for generations. Of course, the boy, named Gareth, was only nine years old, and so the marriage to Aldric's daughter would have to wait a few years.

the King had to remarry quickly after the Queen's death. He didn't want to, but he knew he had to do it. He let the Royal Advisors to choose a wife for him, and they choosed Cassia. The King was fine with it, until he found out her age. He thought she was a little too young, but the Royal Advisors said that she had to be - so she would live for a long time and so that she could be able to have children.
The king finally agreed and marry Cassia, even though his children doesn't exactly love her. Princess Adeline thinks it feels like having another sister in the house, and refuses to do whatever Cassia tells her to.

To keep things easier for me to update, I would prefer that you keep the title of Queen at the beginning. If you feel that she represents more of Consort, then I can change the title to Queen Consort. Otherwise, you can make sure in the story that she isn't truly Queen... but maybe that's how the general Kingdom views her title? I don't know...

A mere week after Queen Sola's death, the Royal advisers brought up the topic of remarriage to King Leor. They said that, in order for his family to retain their royal status, he had to marry the next in line. Leor could only be a regent for 5 years. Because all of Leor's children with Sola were too young to inherit, the next in line was Sola's cousin, Lady Thea, who was nearly 17.
The King didn't like this arrangement at all, especially since Thea was so young. However, he knew that, for the sake of his children and for Gentian, it would be better to remarry. After all, he knew that his wife had cared so much for her country and children and would not want either to suffer from the lack of a ruler.
Young Lady Thea was brought to the palace, for a very small wedding. Thea's mother had died when she was a baby and consequentially, she had been raised in court, by a number of older ladies. Thea had never expected to rule, or even receive a title higher than Lady, so she had not behaved with any sort of propriety. lady Thea was known as a flirt and more than one man claimed to have spent the night with her. Thea was hardly cowering at the possibility of marriage, she was more unsure about being tied down and being looked up to as queen.
Thea and Leor married a few months after Sola's death in a quiet ceremony, with Advisers, Leor's children and Thea's father present. Leor was still wracked with guilt, for he had loved Sola, but he kept telling himself that it was what she would have wanted.

A couple of months after Emeline's passing the people of Rossinest were beginning to get rather anxious that no one had formally been crowned to replace her. They all loved King Jacques-Leon of course, but they new full well that with Emeline gone, he had no right to the throne. To make matters worse another letter arrived for Jacques from his brother, warning him that their father was planning one last charge against Rossinest before he died, and at the old age King Francois was, Jacques knew that his father wouldn't wait. Jacques felt terrible for admitting that he couldn't wait for news from Delacroix that his father had finally left this earth as it would make life so much simplier when that happened. Jacques knew that upon Francois's death, Jean would become King, and finally Rossinest & Delacroix would be at peace and the two brothers who had once been the best of friends would see each other again at last, and get to meet the nieces and nephews that had been stolen from them.
