[Opinions] Ulyssa
I was suppose to be expecting a boy (Ulises), so I was told, but to our surprise, it was a girl but we still liked the name, so we named her Ulyssa. Yes it does get mistaken with Alyssa at times, but once you correct people and have them emphasize on the "U" it sounds beautiful. It has the meaning "hate", well my daughter is 16 and she can tell you exactly what she likes and dislikes without hesitating. She is very intelligent, disciplined and likes to challenge herself, and will stand up to defend what's right. I'd say the name fits her well.

I really like Ulyssa. I like Ulysses too. I actually think Ulyssa is prettier than Alyssa.
I absolutely love it! Yay, there's actually a Ulyssa out in the world.
I like the name Ulyssa! It's on my pnl. I also like Ulises and Ulysses. I've actually never thought about how similar it is to Alyssa. I guess because it seems like such a completely different name to me regardless of the fact that it's only one letter different. Alyssa is popular and sounds kind of trendy and preppy, whereas Ulyssa is unique and kind of regal sounding.
Your daughter does sound like she suits her name :)

I love names that begin with "U", they're quite quirky and alluring. Ulyssa is great!
There is a Ulyssa in my son's kindergarten class! I was very pleasantly surprised.
I like it. It's both familiar (the -lyssa part, that is) and quirky sounding (not many have names beginning with "U" in most English-speaking countries).
Since we're on the subject of Ulysses / Ulises and Ulyssa, I also like Ulyssine and Ulyssia for girls.
