I pronounce Sibyl as "SIB-l," to rhyme with quibble. I adore it. It's feminine without being overly sugary which makes a nice change of pace. It's very intelligent sounding as well. Add to that the mythological associations and I'm in heaven.
Sibyl Josephine is wonderful. My stock combos for it is Sibyl Minerva. I also like Sibyl Morwenna and Sibyl Cornelia.
Please don't change the spelling you have. If the noun is "a sibyl," then my vote is to keep it Sibyl for a name.

Sib- el I really dislike this name. We had a very "white trash" neighbor growing up with this name. She eventually left her family for a tatoo artist biker. Everyone called her Sy.
SIB-ul. It reminds me of that crazy lady in the one movie...that;s why I dislike it. I prefer Zabel (zah-BEL) and your combo is nice :)
