Prompt: One year has passed, and the royal couple have welcomed their first child! The people are rejoicing, as at the least this proves the royal couple is not barren. The birth of a royal child, especially a healthy one, was just the thing the monarchy needed to give their popularity a bit of help, as a recent move has gotten them some flack (exactly how much flack and all details are up to you!) How are the royal couple handling parenthood? Was the gender a disappointment, cause for celebration, or did they not care one way or the other?

Rules:
1. I won't drop anyone for missing rounds this game, but it will be fairly fast-paced, so keeping up is important. If you do miss, all previous rounds must be made up at the current round.

King Kieran and Queen Elisabeth have welcomed their first child this year, a daughter. The baby girl is healthy and lovely, with Elisabeth's pale hair and Kieran's deep blue eyes. Though Kieran wants a son as soon as possible to serve as his heir, he is content with knowing that his wife can bear him healthy and beautiful children. Elisabeth, for her part, is overjoyed with her infant daughter and was very pleased that her firstborn was a daughter, though she hopes sons will come soon after.
Kieran and Elisabeth are proving to be rather a distant couple. Kieran is eternally calm and difficult to rile, and no one in the palace has heard the young monarch so much as raise his voice since he was a child. Elisabeth, on the the other hand, is excitable and quick to emotion, either good or bad.

The house of Zeerenholt will continue to rule Saxenburg-Ausbeck. Gregorius III is more relieved than happy that his wife gave birth to a son. He has very few feelings for Fürstin Josephina and he had had some problems with the people as he became quite unpopular after he send a small group of newly trained soldiers to the western part where a small fraction of the Zeerburg-Münligen army had crossed the border into his territory. The Saxenburg-Ausbeck soldiers had been told to not use force unless it was absolutely necessary but it turned out that they had attacked the army and killed at least three men. This led to an instable week and a declaration of war was not far away. The people who have lived in peace for more than hundred years blamed the king. He should not have sent young and unexperienced boys to handle something of that magnitude. The birth of a prince was just what Gregorius III needed to make people take their mind of his mistake.

Count Alfons von Haasenbach never expected to be more than another noble fighting for the Empire in the Imperial army. His father Lorenz had been a great general and so had his grandfathers, Count Georg von Haasenbach and Duke Bernhard von Grenwald.
Alfons had fought many campaigns away to maintain the Empires borders when he had received some terrible news, his grandfather Bernhard had died in a terrible castle fire, along with his cousin, Bernhard's sole heir, Wilhelm.
With the duchy of Grenwald vacant, it was up to the Emperor to decided whom it should be filled by. Although Alfons had older brothers, George & Ruprecht, Alfons' loyalty & steadfastness on the battlefield won over the Emperor, plus as Alfons was single the Emperor was able to marry him off to his illegitimate daughter, Marie Catherine Louise, giving her and her future issue a secure future.
Marie was a beautiful young woman, who bore a strong resemblance to her mother, the courtesan Catherine Labelle, but had her father, the Emperor's dark eyes. Marie wasn't too keen to marry a soldier but having her father tell her that it was the best thing for her future made it bearable.

The kingdom seems quite pleased with the royal birth, and the press seems to love the baby princess. However, there are a few radicals always making threats against the royal family, so Valli has increased security detail.

Antonio has been struggling lately, torn between being the ruthless leader that he was raised to be and the compassionate one his wife brings out in him. Oroterra controls many industries in other nations, and frequently exploits smaller countries natural resources just because Oroterra is more powerful and previous Kings have felt that it is their right to do whatever they please as long as they have the upper hand. The natives of Oroterra have enjoyed this, as it results in lower taxes for them since the King usually takes more than his fair share of resources, and almost always takes more than he payed for. One small Kingdom got sick of this, and decided to call Antonio out on his actions. Antonio really didn't want to exploit the small country, but was advised by his council to intimidate the King of the smaller country into giving up and allowing Oroterra to continue as it always had. Antonio brought the issue up to Elisabetta who pointed out that through peaceful negotiations and trade, Oroterra can maintain good relations with this country and be fair at the same time. This wasn't what the citizens of Oroterra, or Antonio's council wanted to hear and the populace was angered that Antonio wasn't maintaining the merciless actions of his forefathers.

Slowly and surely, it became evident that Romolo's ambition was to turn Urbino into what Firenze was under Il Magnifico: a centre not only of politics, but also of the arts. And with the foundation laid ahead by Federico da Montrefelto before him, the goal might actually be attainable.
A recent move, though, has left Romolo's popularity slightly damaged when he failed to anticipate a bandit attack due to spending most funds on renovating the Palazzo Ducale. While the bandit attack was quickly avenged and the villains executed, another misstep put Romolo in further trouble - the other side of the War of Urbino, Francesco Maria della Rovere, was related to his wife's family, a thing Romolo considered enough cause to send him a local engineer for assistance. The paranoid feared that Francesco would use the engineer to prepare for another coup, but Romolo was insistent.
In a serendipitous saving throw, however, it became apparent that Lucrezia was pregnant around that time. She first complained of illness, but time passed and it was evident that she was none the more ill than expecting her first child.

King Theodore is still alive and fighting, and he lived to see his first grandchild, Princess Ariadne. King Nicholas had hoped for a boy, so he could name him after his beloved father. But both King Nicholas and Queen Isadora are delighted to have Princess Ariadne in their family.

In the last month or so Josie's elder sister Alexandria ran away from her abusive husband back home - he was a higher noble in southern Dokshaina - bringing her four girls with her. Noah and Bernice refused their daughter shelter because a woman's place was with her husband and if she couldn't give him males she deserved to be 'coerced'. While most of the people of Thylos don't agree with this they don't believe that she should be allowed to take refuge with her sister because it is a family matter.
The birth of the Prince smoothed things over for the people though and there was a week-long celebration that both their Queen and Prince were alright. The pregnancy was hard for Josie. Although she was healthy enough before her body didn't cope well with the extra estrogen and she threw up near-constantly as a result, the physicians urged her to eat more since she kept losing weight but Josie would just be sick again so she didn't really see the point. The labour was also hard and, for a while, they didn't think that she or the baby would make it but, after 47 hours, Josie gave birth to a relatively healthy baby boy. Josie is still recovering but insists upon feeding her son herself, the Dokshainens believe that a Mother can provide for her children better than anyone, which the Thylosians find ridiculous.

Elena and Jeremy were extremely excited to welcome their first child, Nikolas. The pregnancy went quite smooth for Elena, which was a relief because Elena's mother had died during childbirth.
The people of Dagda have done nothing but celebrate since Nikolas' birth. Throughout history, the Dagdan people have been much more comfortable with Male rulers over Female. And though the people love Queen Elena, they were a little weary of her choice of husband from a kindgom they had a history of violence with. The birth of a son has lessened their fears, especially after seeing the young couple with him.

The birth of Princess Lara was a boon to Lucian and Adelia. Though their first few years as king and queen had gone relatively smoothly, things got a bit more difficult when the traitorous Duke Erik of Ronan was put on trial for starting a coup that killed Lucian's mother. Half of the kingdom was all for executing Erik, however, since Adelia was Erik's sister, it was a tricky situation. Though Adelia disliked her brother, she certainly didn't want him dead. And many of the other nobles of Dellorne were opposed to an execution. After much deliberation, it was decided that Erik and his heirs were to be stripped of their titles and banished from the Kingdom. While some were satisfied with this arrangement, many of the peasants wanted the duke to die, for killing their beloved.
Thus, Lara's birth helped bring more popularity to the royal family. Ever one was eager to see a new healthy heir. In Dellorne, gender doesn't matter when determining the next ruler, thus, unless she abdicates to a future sibling, Lara will be the next queen. Adelia and Lucian, are, however, expected to have more children, to help secure their royal line.
