I think the A makes it more feminine - makes it look lighter, sharper, aerodynamic.
Skyler looks too simple to me, like a phonetic spelling of Schuyler.
For a boy, Schuyler
I don't think it'd be mispronounced; it's not that uncommon. It looks very manly.
I think you can use Sky as a nick for Schuyler - with those spellings. No problem
I don't know anyone with the name. I don't think it'll get more common, but it might seem like it does as the 90s Skys grow older.
