NickI can't stand Nicholas. Or Nicodemus, for that matter. But I seriously love Nick.I like Zeke way better than Ezekiel, but I don't fully dislike Ezekiel. It's complicated.I love Ben but can't stand Benjamin, which led me to Benedict as a Benjamin-free means to get to Ben, and now I love Benedict in his own right.Ditto for loving Matt, disliking Matthew, and then loving Matthias.I guess I should also include JT and JD, because no matter what JT or JD combos I make, I can NOT find one that satisfies me as much as just the initial nn's do.
I'm blankin on any girl nn's. I probably have some but I'll come back with them.

I like a handful of nicknames for Margaret, but I've never been able to warm up to the full name. Margo / Margot, Mae / May, and Meg are adorable, and I don't mind Maggie and Maisie.Others:Jake - I don't mind Jake, but I don't care for Jacob.Katie, Kay, Kate - Dislike Katherine.

I love Ziggy, Maisie, Millie, Sally, Jamie, Tilly & Frankie. Not fond of Zigfried/Zigmund or pretty much anything Ziggy could be short for.I like Margaret OK, but I love Maisie! Millie (Millicent, Mildred, Camilla)-- not a huge fan. Sally-- I can't stand Sarah. Jamie-- James is OK but so boring! Tilly-- I think I'm the only person on this board who doesn't like Matilda. I love Frankie for a boy, but not fond of Francis or Franklin.

I'm trying really hard to think of any, but I'm not coming up with much! There are some full names that I don't like as much as the nickname, but not sure about actually disliking them.Maybe Essie. I think it's really cute, but I'm not a huge fan of Esther.

Yes, yes you couldIf I ever find a nn I like but no full name, I do try and find something but just hadn't gotten around to it for Essie. Thanks!Theresa is a great suggestion! I almost put it into the opposite post because I dislike Terry and don't really like Tess/Tessa, but just don't dislike them either.Agnes is good, but I love Aggie too much anyway. Same with Frances Frankie. But Alessandra! That's a winner! Everytime I see that name I think it's gorgeous, but have never actually done anything about it yet. That shall probably have to change.

Luke. I love Luke, but I can't stand Lucas.

But Luke is a name on its own, too. So it doesn't need Lucas. So you can disregard him! And I wouldn't blame you, I also dislike Lucas.

ditto thisI can't stand Lucas, but I don't think about it because Luke is fully its own name.

Ah...you learn something new every day!The reason I hate Lucas is because I went to school with a very creepy one. His favorite pastime was capturing flies and pulling their wings off. But he never went by Luke, so Luke is still handsome and youthful to me, like Luke Skywalker.

JulesI believe Jules is a full name in French for a boy. I know it's used as a nn for Julia. But that's a recent occurrance. It has a much longer history as a boy's full name. It can stand on its own very well. For the rest of your names, perhaps I could find a different formal name that you might like better:Addie: Madeline
Evie: Genevieve, Geneva
Izzy: Isolde
Lonnie: Alani (Hawaiian girl's name that means orange tree. It could sort of honor any Alans in your family tree at the same time.)
Nika: Veronica
Rosie: Rosaleen
Josie: Jocelyn
Ally: Alani

I meant Lonnie for a boy. Sorry forgot to say. And Veronica is my name. I never thought of going as Nika. Thanks for the suggestions, they were a help. : )
