Well I certainly have never heard this name before, so I am not sure if it's male or female, but I'm going to guess male. Since it is so 'out there' I think good solid 'heard of' middle names.

I'm sorry! I like it for a girl! I guess it could be used for a boy though!

It's geographical, so it could be either male or female. However, it used to be the brand name for a silky, shiny synthetic knitting yarn, so I think female is more appropriate. That shaid, I think it'sh shilly.
