[Opinions] totally awesome BA and name dream
First, the dream: I was at the wedding of an old friend from school. Her name in real life was Narinder, but it was different in the dream, and her two middle names were Laurel Sailor. In real life I think her middle name was the customary Kaur, because she was Sikh and all girls get that middle name. After I woke up I thought Laurel Sailor was rather appealing in a hyper-preppy sort of way.
Also, most awesome BA in the local paper: Zenovia Judith. So exciting. Judith was after a grandma Judy.

While I like the way Laurel looks and sounds, it doesn't roll off my tongue comfortably! I've considered it as a mn because I do like the way it looks and flows. Sailor just isn't my thing, but in the mn spot, I can tolerate anything.
Zenovia Judith is rather zippy, isn't it? I can just imagine the cool nns for Zenovia. I like the meaning as well.

I didn't know that about all Sikh girls getting the same middle name. Hm.
Zenovia is crazy awesome! Wow. And while Judith is not my thing, anything is acceptable when it is honouring. Nice find.

Regarding Kaur
Sikhism fought to get rid of the caste system in India, in order to make all individuals equals (that they are seen as in Sikhism). All Sikh males were given the surname Singh (meaning Lion) and all women the last name Kaur (princess). This meant that a woman could retain her name and not have to take her husbands, as well as all people having a name that would not associate them with a certain caste, which could well mean that some people would refuse to even touch them or step on their shadow for the very lowest of the castes in India.
However, many Sikhs keep their original family name and only give Singh and Kaur as middle names.

I like Zenovia and dislike Judith, but I approve of any name in the middle name slot if it's honoring.
