[Opinions] Day
What do you think of Day as a name? Probably as a middle name if anything.I was listening to a Doris Day song and I decided that that would be a really nice combo.Am I going crazy or is it actually nice?

hooray for DayYou're right. It's pertly offbeat and fresh and mod-spare. I rather like it. After all, if Evening is gaining some use as a name, why not Day? Day is also similar to the retro (and therefore apt to make a comeback) choices Ray, Kay, May and Fay. I suppose the drawback is that it can be rather word-esque and might require a few repetitions or clarifications ("No, it's Day. Like...Day. Like 'What a lovely day'...").I think I'll experiment with some combos. It does work very nicely in the middle as it is short and airy. But I'll try to use it out front as well.Betony Day
Day Annabelle
Day Eloise / Day Heloise
Day Lilibeth
Annabeth Day
Lillian Day (really like this, and I am not a Lillian fan)
Dahlia Day
Day Eudora / Eudora Day (another one I'm loving)
Day Rose / Rose Day - a bit phrasey but still lovely
Day Fleur
Day Georgette
Gloria Day
Gladys Day (also love this)
Hattie Day / Hettie Day (awesomely retro)
Ivy Day
Lally Day
Lucy Day
Day Lucille
Mabel Day
Day Marilou (eeee)
Day Miriam (another love)
Day Odette
Day Rowena
Day Vera / Vera Day (I quite like this one, very poetic; "true day", "faith day")
Zelda Day Dang I am REALLY liking this now. I haven't read any other responses but rest easy that Day has another convert.

I don't like it as a name. I'm not really into word names very much. They always end up reminding me of celebrity baby names.

Day in the middle name slot is kind of cool to me. I don't think I would care for it as a FN. It does have a certain appeal though, kind of like Sky or Skye. It's better than Daylee...which I've seen on a girl. Or Dayson and Daylin --boys I've met.

I wouldn't use it as a first name, but as a mn, it's very similar to Mae and Kay and Jay, so why not??? Eilidh Day would be lovely!!!

I think it'd make a great middle name. I've thought about using it myself, but I'd probably use Dee over Day because Dee is a family name.I've seen Daelyn, but I think that's really trendee. Day alone is nicer.

I like it. A childhood friend of mine has the middle name Dae (her first name is Holly, so lots of jokes there). As long as it doesn't come out to a funny combo like my dear friend Holly Dae, then I think it's totally usable.

No, I like Day. I think its a great middle name. I have thought about using it or Dee to honor my brother whose name is Dakota. I have toyed around with Beatrice Day and Eliza Day a lot lately.

What about Dia? It means "day" in Spanish. I know two Girls named Dia. One is Dia Jasmine and she's about 3 years old. The other is Dia (unsure of last name) and she's in her mid forties. Dia is pronounced DEE-ah

It would be lovely as a middle name. As a first name... you're looking to get your child teased.

Day sounds really silly as a name.
