Walter is at his wits end with the foreign politics. He had worked hard to create a peaceful environment in Bial so that he could work on the domestic issues. The France- Orlais war has cause nothing but turmoil for Walter and Bial. Walter has sent the King of France his wish to remain neutral. "My dearest brother," he wrote him "while I would by no means disagree to helping France's funding in your war we both are aware that your gold accumulation is far grander than that of Bial. It is in the interest of my people that fighting should not be a venture we are yet ready to embark upon. I have faith that your French army will reach victory soon enough with out my aid.
Walter has been secretly deploring military to Orlais in defense. It is not his wish to see the small country taken over by France. Orlais has always been friendly and a great source of trade for Bial. His secracy has been of top most importance, he does not wish to risk war with France. Walter has secret plans that should France turn against Bial he will send an assasin to the King leaving his nephew and sister has rulers over France.
At home Hedy has given birth to another son. Walter was so extremely happy with the birth of Prince Christian. Walter was getting nervous with all of the legitimate daughters he has. He has twice thought of promoting his dear Fritzi to a higher level such has Margrave of a province. His champion is his son August though. August has been there every step of Walter's decisions. The public lovingly knows him as the shadow.
Max is starting military training. This has seperated him from Hanne which has caused both great anguish. Hanne is starting finishing school and the King is looking for marriage prospects. Annelie has already had many offers for marriage being only 5. She is known as the Bial Jewel. Ella is her mothers daughter. Ella loves her mother dearly and never leaves her side. She is very found of prince Christian. Christian is a rather large boy with the golden curls of his father.
Walter has had more time with Eleonore since her husband is now a constant military official on journey to Orlais.
