The surname Moore is derrived from the surname Muir, which was one of the old Scottish Royal families surnames. Their tartan is a rich purple and dark jade colour. according to history all family members was murder. My moms maiden name is Moore so I did some research. For some reason people think that the Moore race was black in colour, I just want to rectify this. I am married to a Berber man (who is the so called Moore people). Maybe they are referring to the black haired majority.He is as white as any other white person I know. They are the oldest surviving civilazation, it dates back up to 10 000 years. (The Berber/Moore and the old Romans look a lot alike.)
