Amos. I don't know why. There's nothing wrong with it that I can see. I love
Asa, though. It's so strong and piercing.
I heard a name in a BBC drama, "
Elizabeth R." I loved it enough to search through the credits to make sure how to spell it.
Amias, "AY-mee-us," was the result. I've loved it for years, but I fear people would only hear the girl's name
Amy in it. *sigh* If only we could plug in our impression of a name . . . . It wouldn't work the other way around. I wouldn't be subject to anyone else's preferences. Just one way. If only . . . .
