Noah and Dani were highschool sweethearts who married after College. They've just recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary and couldn't be happier!
When the phone rang early one morning, Noah couldn't help the sick feelilng in his gut as he answered it. It was his Mom, Amy, ringing to tell him that his grandfather had passed away. Noah was floored at the news, Rick had always seemed so larger than life to him, so for him to be gone so suddenly was a real shock. He's still struggling to come to terms with it.
Noah and Dani packed and made the 2 hour drive back to his home town immediately where he found his parents and a few aunts & uncles waiting for him. His grandmother Becky was also there, and Noah just wanted to comfort her so he and Dani sat with her and talked quietly as more and more family began to arrive.
A part of Noah was excited to see everyone, it wasn't very often that they all got together like this... He was especially excited to see his cousins Ezra & Oliver. Growing up they'd become very close, they didn't have much choice being the only boys amongst all the girls! He was also looking forward to spending some time with his little sister, Hermione.
The funeral broke Noah's heart, it was so hard to bury a man who had been his hero...
