Rory and Carlota wish they had the resources to help their family emigrate to the United States. However, adjusting to their new life in the States has not been easy. Now with the birth of their twins Patrick and Claudia, Rory and Carlota do not have the time to help their relatives. The only thing they feel they can do is give their relatives a place to stay for a while if they do end up coming to America. As a result of their lack of help, their relationship with their family has grown somewhat strained.
