I've always like
Elin and pronounced it more like "AY-lin" but also as "EH-lin" the way you do.
And now because of
Tiger Woods Americans think it should be pronounced "EE-lin." Ick. But I still think it's worth using. Just be prepared to explain the pronunciation.
