Help[Opinions] Names of siamese twins
I hope you don't find this macabre. I'm interested in people who are "different" (I love the story about Joseph Merrick - the Elephant Man) and I recently read a fictional story about siamese twin girls (The Girls by Lori Lansens. Very good!). On a site about "freaks" as these special persons used to be known, I found these names of siamese twins (the surname is not always known, or the didn't have one):
Daisy and Violet Hilton

The PC term is "conjoined"
just FYI :) I think the term "Siamese Twins" is now considered to be racist or derogatory, though the history behind the term is accurate (for the famous Thai ["Siamese" in the old days] twins Chang and Eng)
I also like reading about "different people" like that. The Elephant Man is one of my favourite movies, I bawl my eyes out every time. I'll have to check out this book! Have you seen the 1932 movie "Freaks"? I want to see it quite badly but I cannot find it anywhere.

Amazon has Freaks on dvd, and there are several clips on youtube. I've seen it. V sad, but amazing-looking film.
