Maria Magdalena is one of those names that are historically used as a double first name (like Ana-Marija/ Anamarija or Dmitar Zvonimir).
Now, the family can decide to call her just Maria or just Magdalena (or some other nickname), but everyone else who sees the name written down will use it as a double first name.
