Old friend of the fam announced the birth of another grandson... Liam Joseph... I'm sick of Liam 'cause it's excessively overused (well, in BC anyway), but since the kid's bro. is named Seamus, I'm guessing there may be some cultural significance to ligitimize Liam rather than just another set of parents jumping on the trendy bandwagon.

I like the sound of Liam Joseph, but Liam is too trendy right now, even if there is cultural significance. There are so many great Irish names, it's sad to see the same 5 or 6 used over and over.

Liam was what my youngest sister planned to name a boy. But there is no Liam in my family, because as fate would have it, my sister is the mother of four girls and no boys.

I think it's kind of an annoying, whiney-sounding name. Just something about the sound of it---I don't like Ian, either, for the same reason. I guess it's the EEE-AAH sound. Plus it bothers me somewhat to see it used as a full name, because it is really a nickname for William. And, as someone here once pointed out, even as a nickname for William it's rather dumb and strained, because nobody pronounces William Wil-LEE-um.

I like it! I do like Liam, and it isn't too overused around here. I've been liking Joseph lately, too. But I love Seamus. Seamus and Liam. Awesome.

I love the name Liam, it's not overused here either, here it's a very rare name.
I also like Joseph, although people will proably be shortened to Joey or Jamy (most J-names are nicknamed 'Jamy' here)
Joey en Jamy are the names that are overused around here, so here Liam would be something different

I named one of my characters Liam, I like the sound and meaning of the name.
