Help[Games] Britt's Royal Congrats Sign Ups
So I got the urge to do a royal congrats thanks to Nyx's marvelous games (kudos!) So, here it is! I have two weeks before fall semester starts, so this game will probably last that long, but as I have nothing but my part-time job to worry about I will try and post new rounds every day. This will be pretty free-form. You can choose any type of political system that is hereditary: constitutional monarchy, absolute monarchy, empire, whatever you want goes. I'll provide a basic writing prompt for the story, and each round I'll have some sort of rule for the names. All names, unless stated in the rules for tht round, must be from the same general culture/language, but I won't be that strict (I.e. if you have been using English names but want to name your daughter Madeleine or Carina, you can.) I won't hound you about them, but I really enjoy the stories and more than a few lines is greatly encouraged!
Rules:
1. Miss more than three rounds and you're dropped. I'll provide links to previous rounds so you can find them easily, and you can make them up there or in the most current round.
2. Please old all new additions. < b > the name < /b > without the spaces.
3. Make sure to include your royal house and type of political system in each round, so it is easier to keep up with who is doing what.
Prompt: The previous ruler died when the current ruler was very young, still a child, really. For years the country has been ruled by a regent, who the young ruler is quite close to (who is this person, a relative or a family friend?). But now that the young monarch has come of age, it is time for her/him to take the power and rule in more than name (how was this transition? Did the young ruler feel prepared? Did the regent willingly give up the power?). The young ruler's new spouse is at their side as they announce that the monarch is truly taking the throne (when did the two marry? How do they feel about one another? Is it a marriage of love, convenience, or political strategy?). Also, a little history of your kingdom/empire/what-have-you would be greatly appreciated. Something very short and basic will be just fine.
Naming Rules: all names are up to you this round, just as long as they fit general mood and atmosphere of your land. I won't set a time frame so it can be anywhere from ancient to future.
