[Opinions] Columba and Warren
Not together. They're just two names that are on my mind today.
Columba is a longtime love of mine. It's so smooth and handsome and unexpected. (I know someone who considered naming her son this, but didn't. Darn!) I've found that I like it mostly with more common names because of its uniqueness. What do you think of it and do you like any of these combos?
Columba Andrew
Columba Gwynfor
Columba Jonathan
Columba Julian
Columba James - I really like this.
Columba Laurence
Columba Michael
Columba Nicholas
Columba Oscar - And I really love this one!
Columba Patrick
Columba Richard
Columba William - This might be my second favorite.
And then Warren is a name that has been sneaking up on me the past few months. It's totally a hot professor name, and he also might be adventerous and romantic and from the 1920s. :) I don't have any great combos for it. Just Warren Everett, but I'm not totally satisfied with that. Any ideas, and what do you think of it?

Columba Gwynfor! Amazing! And so is Columba William...
I also like Columba James.Columba Andrew is good. I prefer Columba Andreas. And Columba Nicholas is good too, although Columba Nikoai would be awesome...
Warren is alright. Warren Everett is good. Also Warren Theobald, Warrenn Russell, Warren Bernard, Warren Amadeus, Warren Aurelien, Warren Theodore, Warren Edric, Warren Edward, Warren Feldspar, Warren Gaspar, Warren Mark, Warren Sean, Warren Alexandros, or Warren Deveraux?
Also Warren Todd keeps popping into my brain, even though it's nmsaa.

Confession: I had no idea Columba was a masculine name. I also misread it as "Columbia" every time I see it (which is not frequently, but there is a beautiful tune called St. Columba which is the melody of one of my favorite hymns - "Put Peace Into Each Other's Hands" if you're curious - so I notice it in the hymnal sometimes). It seems like it would make an interesting middle name, but I wouldn't use it as a first name since even I as a name nerd who has heard the name before mistook it for a girls' name and keep thinking it's Columbia.
I'm not crazy about Warren. There's nothing bad about it IMO - just not my taste. It is adorably old-fashioned though, for sure.

Columba! I love Columba. So unusual too - even here. Columba Oscar is my favourite. I like to for both boys and girls.
The area I grew up in has a tradition of St Colmcille/Columba stopping there en route to somewhere else. So one of the churches is part dedicated to him(St Columba), the local hospital is St Colmcille's and so is one of the primary schools(the one I went to). My FIL is called Colm. I am adding Columba to my PNL tout suite.
I used to know a guy called Colm Cille as well.
Warren though I don't get - it's a floppy name to me - like old celery. I don't like noun names either. I see Warren as pale, blond and anemic. You have made me reassess it though - I can see it a hot prof name.

I don't really like Columba. I think because it's hard for me to say. I either want to end it with "us" and make it Columbus, or throw an "I" in there and say Columbia.
And, I don't really like the sound much, it's a little choppy. I think Warren is nice! I prefer it as a MN though. Warren Everett is a combo that definitely flows nicely.
Columba Andrew - I like Andrew, but I don't really care for MN's that start with the last letter of the FN
Columba Gwynfor - yikes. Too unique.
Columba Jonathan - I really dislike Jonathan. A lot.
Columba Julian - LOVE Julian, and this combo flows
Columba James - GREAT! Love James, and the names sound great together
Columba Laurence - I don't like Laurence.
Columba Michael - Michael is a nice MN, but doesn't flow the best.
Columba Nicholas - I like it
Columba Oscar - Don't care for Oscar
Columba Patrick - Cute!
Columba Richard - Richard is NMSAA
Columba William - Oh, I like this one!
Faves: Columba James, Columba Julian, Columba William, and Colmba Patrick (in this order!)

I adore Columba for a boy. It's one of the few truely unisex names that I love. But I'm glad to see it being considered for a boy. Columba Patrick and Columba Michael are my favorites from your list. Columba Malachy or Columba Gavin?
Warren is not my style. But I'm always happy to see names resurrected. :-)

I of course thought of Columba Malachy because I love Malachy so much I try to pair it with almost anything. But it didn't sound right. But when I see it actually written out, I do really like it! Not Gavin, though. It's a major bully name to me. I've always felt that way about it, so I gave it to a bully character I have and I could never reverse that association!
Columba is pretty interesting, but I think I prefer some of the other names. From Wikipedia:
Saint Columba (7 December 521 – 9 June 597 AD) – also known as Colum Cille (Old Irish, meaning "dove of the church"), Colm Cille (Irish), Calum Cille (Scottish Gaelic) and Kolban or Kolbjørn
Warren I find dowdy and plain.
