[Facts] "Daza" name meaning
Hello,
I'm looking to find the meaning of the female first name "Daza". It is written with a line above the first "a". I am told that it's of German orgin, but I haven't been able to verify this. Any help with finding the meaning is deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Ben

My first thought was to search for it in a list of Germanic name elements.
The only acceptable one seems to be *Daga- (also written as Daghi-, Dagi-, Daci-, Taghi-, Tachi-, Tagi-, Taci-, Tachin-, Dai-, Tahi-, Dag-, Tac-, Da-).
It means "day". A name with this element is, for example, Dagobert.
It would be amazing if you could give us more information about this name. Where did you find it? What language do it belong to?

Hey there,
Thanks for the response! I do not know very much information... I am finding this for a close friend, but the name belongs to an African American woman. I assume that English was the spoken family in their home.
Thank you,
Ben
