I think it is just babyish on either gender. I met a young woman named Maile that was pronounced almost the same, and that's alright.
If I ... well, I wouldn't name my child Miley. Let's say I adopted one. If someone said "OMG hey, like Miley Cyrus!" I'd say, "yes, just like Miley Cyrus," and let 'em make of it whatever they will. Who cares.
