[Games] Re: Non-Traditional Family Congrats Round 3
UN: Siân
Type of Family: Same-sex, polyamorous
LN: Greyson-Abbey
Dbf: Rónán Alexander (35)
Dbf: Leo George (33)
-DD: Mabel Emmeline (9)
Dbf: Murray James Romilly (28)
--DS: Leland Emery (5)
--DD: Philippa Estelle (2)
--DS: Blair Ellis (3)“We‘ll be waiting at home sad and lonely,” Leo reminded Rónán as he stood behind the kitchen counter and watched Rónán throw his things over his shoulder in the foyer. “So, come home as soon as this thing is over. Also, remember Murray and I are home with not only two rambunctious little ones, but Mabel times two as well.”“That certainly makes me want to hurry home,” Rónán joked as he shoved his keys in his coat pocket.Leo walked into the foyer and kissed Rónán goodbye. “No seriously. As soon after two as possible would be fabulous.”“If I‘m not home by three, I‘ll call and make sure you and Murray are still alive.” Rónán joked and kissed Leo quickly.“Nooo!” Mabel could be heard calling. “Promise me you won‘t do that tonight!”“And why not?” Leo laughed and Murray came hurrying in with pink boots in his hands. “Shoes!” Murray reminded and Mabel took them and sat down. She looked up at her father with an exasperated expression.“Because you‘ll gross Gemma out!” she exclaimed and the three men laughed. “I told her you were not all gross and stuff.” She looked at Murray as she slipped her second foot into the fuzzy pink boot. “Dad already had to meet with her mom and pretend to be normal.”“Normal is overrated,” Rónán reminded her and she rolled her dark brown eyes. “Come give me a kiss. We‘re both going to be late.”Leo grabbed his coat and threw it on before pulling a pink rain mac off the lower hook and holding it out for Mabel. She quickly kissed Rónán and turned to stick her arms in her sleeves. Leland came trudging in with his backpack over his shoulder and a pout on his face. “Dun‘ wanna go to school,” he pouted and Murray pulled the little boys’ hat up a bit and looked into his eyes.“Can‘t help it. If you don’t go to school, the coppers come and take us away. Now, where‘s your sweater?” Leland huffed, but went to get it.***“We barely survived a night with two Mabels, Leland and Pippa, why are you looking at an adoption website?” Leo asked late the next evening.“I took Leland and Philippa to the park this afternoon to wear them out for naptime,” Rónán began.“You‘re a darling parent,” Leo reminded him.“There was a little boy there. He‘s in foster care and he was three. He sat in the sandbox and was playing with plastic cars so I tried to ask him a question about them. He couldn‘t hear me. He‘s deaf. And the foster mother just signed to him and he grinned up at me, and I don’t know, it was the sweetest thing.”“Are we out of-” Murray started as he walked into the study where Rónán and Leo were. He stopped when he saw the screen, “Adoption?”“He‘s trying to find this little deaf boy he met at the park today.” Leo filled him in.“You want to adopt him?” Murray asked excitedly, tucking dark brown hair behind his ear.“I‘m not sure. I want to look into it, maybe.” he shrugged.***Meeting a little boy at a park is one thing, but taking sign language classes and redecorating the guest room and signing adoption papers are all totally different things. However, that was all it took for little Blair to come and live with them. They sign things all the time, just to each other, trying to figure it out, get it all right before Blair is old enough to need in depth conversation and sign back. They’re getting better and better at it.They all still talk to Blair, but usually they sign along with it. It just seems more natural sometimes to say it out loud and they wonder if that’s something they’ll grow out of or not.As for little Blair, the transition seems to be going okay. The first few nights, he cried and didn’t want to be consoled by any of them, but once he settled in and felt more comfortable with them, his moods leveled out just fine. He’s a relatively happy child and he makes happy sounds sometimes that the boys wish he could hear. They haven’t discussed yet how many more children they may want, but they haven’t said “no more” yet either. They’re busy, but not pulling their hair out. They’re taking life as it comes and enjoying it. And for the most part, Rónán sticks with his theory that normal is overrated and their family is safe because they are nowhere close.Image and video hosting by TinyPic Blair

Question!I know you mentioned that we could adopt siblings.
Mabel was a character I started the game with, but would you mind if my family adopted her half-sister or half-brother?
I just want to see how it would affect Leo (and the others) to adopt a child related to his daughter, but not to him.
