Are you sure you don't mean Ouida? I do not see how you can get the pronunciation "Wheada" out of the spelling "Quidia" in any language. However, that's close to the normal pronunciation in English of Ouida, which is a pet form of Louise (click on Ouida to find this site's dictionary entry for that name).
