This is one of the names that DH and I both like (I have adored it ever since high school, and I think he likes it too)...another name that I love for the literary / legendary connection, but to me it is ALL BOY. I can't imagine that people could even think of it as a girl's name, but here in the States, some do. Not to mention that in the movies, the two Tristans I think of are Brad Pitt (Legends of the Fall) and James Franco, two very masculine men.
