[Opinions] Magnus
I don't know if it's just a crush, but I really love this name at the moment. If I had a son, I would want to use my father's name and a very good friend's name as middle names. I'm still not sure whether to use both on one child, or hope I have another boy to use the other one... anyway. What do you think ofMagnus Peter James?Any suggestions (using one or the other and other names?)

I've always found Magnus interesting and pleasant, and with Peter James you've got a winner. I also like Angus and Fergus, though not Marcus for some reason. Two mns are fine: no need to hold back. There are more good names out there than you can possibly use!

I only started loving this name recently and it is climbing up my list rapidly. It is strong and charming with a gentle side. I would love to meet one :)Magnus Peter is very handsome. Magnus Peter James is also good and it is nice to honour two people in the one combo.

Wow, I love Magnus Peter! James I can take or leave, but Magnus Peter? That's a win. :)

I love Magnus, and love the sound of Magnus James, but Magnus Peter James just doesn't work for me. Magnus needs something with oomph, not something sweet and docile like Peter.

It is a little "Magnus Magnusson" for me, just a touch too much big, blond Scandinavian strongman. A friend of mine has a son Max with a very Finnish surname; he wanted to name him Magnus but his wife wouldn't have it. :-D So Max was the compromise. I just have a hard time moving past that strongman image. That's what my friend loved about it. He's a weightlifter with, like, thighs that don't fit into conventional pants. o_O It's manly, ueber-manly, almost exaggeratedly manly. If if was someone else's favorite I could like it. It won't be my favorite, I don't think. Although it would tickle me to see a baby with a "big man name," kind of like how it can be funny to see a baby with an "old man name." :-)It's a nice combo. I think James is kind of boring and it drags it down, but it doesn't make it unbearable. Magnus Peter would be awesome on its own. Off the top of my head I also like Magnus Lawrence, Magnus Richard and Magnus Rainer.

Honestly, I hate the name Magnus. Peter James is very nice, though.

Well, I am just getting used to the name Magnus. Well, it is pretty common here, but not on children. But I think I like it. I like James too but I have never liked Peter. If Peter and James are important for you, use both. There is nothing wrong with having two middle names.
