I personally like Billi just as is, but w/ an i so she doesn't get mistaken for a boy on class lists... Besides, it's cuter as is. For a boy, it would pretty much need to be short for something though. When I was young, there were a couple gals named Billie-Jo at school, so that's something else it could be short for. Not sure you wish to turn her into Willemina Josephine or anything since that's a little GPish, but can have fun w/ it. However, I think the girls were just Billie-Jo w/out it being short for anything.
