I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. Looks like fun.
The Two-Hawks Family
H: David Kohana Two-Hawks (32)

The Two-Hawks family lives in West Fargo, North Dakota. David and Rachel met when they were young in LA: Rachel's father, a big music producer, was interested in world music and signed David's father, a Oglala Lakota musician, to his label, and the two teenagers became fast friends. They soon fell in love, and when she graduated college, Rachel moved to David's native North Dakota to live with him. They are very dedicated to preserving the Earth, and run a natural food/herb store in town. Rachel wanted to honor her heritage in naming her son, and his middle name is a Sioux word meaning "friend of all". They are now expecting a daughter, they want her first name to be a nature name and her middle name to be Lakota or Sioux.

Miranda and Rick met at the Hillshire Country Club in high school when they played singles against each other. Love blossomed, to the great joy of their parents, but they broke up when they briefly separated to go to college (Rick to Harvard, Miranda to Yale, they didn't have a chance.) They reunited when they were both summer interns at the prestigious Goldman, Horowitz, and Lippstein firm in New York City, and rekindled their romance, marrying at the same Connecticut country club that they met at, settling back down in their hometown of Greenwich, CT, commuting to the city for their jobs. They soon had a son, and Rick and Miranda are delighted to be expecting another son! They want his first name to be the last name of a president and his middle to be between 150 and 250 of the SSA list for 2009 and convey a "high-class" feel.

Since both of them despised having super-common names, they've decided that their children will have carefully though-out, erudite names. They would like a first name from Greek mythology that doesn't sound too outlandish with the last name Smith, and a middle name from a classic piece of literature, but nothing too common. Also, the two names must start with different letters.

Abe and Sarah are a Hasidic Jewish couple from Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Abraham had long found Sarah to be very pretty, and was delighted when the matchmaker set them up right after Sarah had finished high school. They hit it off, and were delighted to be an actual love match when they married last year. Sarah is now pregnant with their first child. They've decided to name him Isaac (you know, to go with the theme), but are undecided for a middle name. Isaac's middle name must be from the Old Testament and not begin with an A or an S.

Elizabeth and Raphaël are a couple living in Paris, France. Just under a year ago, Elizabeth came to Paris to for a year abroad. She met Raphaël at a bar one night and it was almost love at first sight--he was impressed with her nearly impeccable French, and she was impressed by his oddly specific knowledge of Jane Austen novels. They hit it off and fell hard for each other, and soon Elizabeth had moved out of her host family's house and into Raphaël's apartment. Recently, Elizabeth found out she was pregnant, and she and Raphaël decided to keep the baby. They are waiting to find out the gender until after the baby is born, but they want a boy and girl's FN that sounds good in both English and French, and the MN to be a more fanciful name, either French or something that sounds passably good in French.
