I'm not thrilled by Kevin Costner's family, particularly since I find something about Kevin Costner to be distasteful. Maybe it's just that I think he's a terrible actor, but I don't know. Or perhaps it rubs me the wrong way that he has seven kids by three different women. None of my business, I know, but it doesn't exactly lend anything extra to his mediocre name choices. Li Jefferson isn't my thing but I get it. So no complaints there from me. :-) Like I said in my other reply, I'd name a kid anything to honor the person who sprung me from a foreign prison. I'm lukewarm on Hannah and Lutera but Norbertina! I love it! I'm a huge fan of feminized -berts whether it be a -tine, -tina, or plain -a.

I really like Hannah. Grace Avery is just ok but still way better than Li Jefferson (for a girl!). What where they thinking?

Dunno, honoring the president who got you out of a North Korean prison is kinda worth giving Jefferson as a middle name for your daughter. Pretty sure that's what they were thinking.

Oh that's her. So they have a point. But Bill Clinton is so not the first person you think of when hearing the name Jefferson. I'm pretty sure there are more feminine names which are closer to Bill Clinton than Jefferson. Think Wilhelmina?

No kidding!I'd have named my kid Bill Clinton if he'd have asked, at that point. o_O Not to use a kid as a sacrificial sort of name offering, but still.

See I would never do that. There are better ways to show your gratitude IMO.

I would have tried Wilhelmina, from his first name. At least it's a mn. Li is a Chinese girl's name, so that's understandable, since the baby is half Chinese American.

I read somewhere that she said Li is honoring her sister Lisa.

In the original post here, I saw it too....But one of the posters in this thread sounded (to me, at least) as if they came up with it out of nowhere and why would you name a girl Li/ Lee. It's honoring the aunt, also part of their cultural heritage, and if girls can be Leigh, why not Li?
