[Opinions] Re: Leo?
I can't bring myself to really like Leo, in spite of the fact that it's my grandson's name. To me, it will always be an "old man who wears pants that come up to his nipples and shirts with golf clubs on them" name. This is due to my age. As Pam and Linda point out, names go in and out of fashion, and tend to come back in style after a hundred year or so rest, which means that people often end up puzzled and appalled by the names of their grandchildren. I bet today's young people will have grandchildren by the names of Linda, Patricia, Gary, and Donald! And in spite of the fact that there's a cute, lively, two-year-old running around my house by the name of Leo, it's still an old man name to me!Leo's full name is Leonidas. At first *that* seemed unbearably strange, but I admit I had never heard it before. It's now grown on me, and I can say I like Leonidas, but Leo not so much.
