Prince: Lucien Milo Oliver Mark FrederickRight after the announcement of Benjamin and Petra's engagements (both to people they loved and their parents approved of), King Alexander was injured in the side during a training exercise. The wound was not serious, but it became infected and he nearly died. As it was he was sick for nearly four months. During this time Queen Lili took over his duties, and she ran the country well. The family was rocked by their father's near-death. It was the first time they had really been confronted with death, and it frightened them a great deal. When their father was well enough for them to see him again, they all spent as much time as possible with him. After hearing what a good job his wife did ruling, he has been seriously looking at Amelia as his future heir. His eldest child is a bright, level-headed, and talented girl who seems to have a natural sense of justice. Her siblings all seem to listen to her and follow her. He has not made a decision just yet, all of the children have. They talked it over and decided that, since all of them are learning statecraft and diplomacy, they will support whichever of them their father chooses with no hard feelings. Those who aren't chosen will be the lead advisors and diplomats. They have told no one of this pact, but it gives them all great comfort, knowing that no matter what they support one another.
