[Surname] origin of the surname "pattou"
"Pattou" is my maiden name, and I can't find any information on the 'net regarding the origins of it. Does anyone know or help? Thank you--much is appreciated.

Patou/Patout/Patoux/Pattou/Pattoux comes from Norman French patou 'oafish, clumsy, coarse'. You'll find information of the name and its origin at http://jeantosti.com/noms/p2.htm and http://tr.im/UT4C, for example.
it is indeed hard to find any info about this name. However the genealogy info that can be found on the internet suggests that the name Pattou might originate from Belgium (or ultimately from France). The name might also be (mis)spelled as Fattou, see the link below:

Perhaps there is a connection with the Pyrenees mountain dog, which is called Patou or Pastou in its region of origin, the French Pyrenees. The word "pastou" (pronounced: Patou), comes from "pastre", which means shepherd in French.
