Maud /
Maude is terrific. It makes me think of
Queen Matilda and the civil war she waged against her cousin
Stephen for the English thrown. The people called her, "
Maude /
Maud."
I started out prefering the
Maude spelling. But now the less-is-more
Maud spelling is gaining ground. It's the same transformation I've been undergoing with
Isabelle -->
Isobel.
Winifred and
Enid are awesome. I'm hoping
Enid gains in popularity soon. She's such a surprising little power-house of a name.
