The only ones I can think of are Ricky for Patrick and Nela for Magdalena (this one is common in Croatia).

Margaret "Margot"
Margaret "Greta" - cute
Mildred "Red" - I don't like either name
Gertrude "Tru" - cute
Josephine "Sephie" - cute
Josephine "Posy" - cute
Penelope "Nell" - I love Nell
Agnes "Nesta" - both names are terribleMy daughter is Josephine and we call her Sophie. It just kind of started with me calling her Sephie and turned into Sophie. But her name is pronounced Jo-sophie-n so it makes enough sense to me.

Some of my favourites off the top of my head:Isadora "Sadie"
Evadne "Edie"
Rosemary "Molly"
Madalena "Mena"
Guinevere "Viv"
Eloise "Elsie"
Eloisa "Elsa"
Susannah "Zsazsa"Edmund "Eder" (Edmund's been on my list since grade 3, and I found Eder over the summer looking through Basque names. It only just occured to me to use both. Why not? They're not pronounced the same, but I hate Edmundo and if I'm to live in Spain for the rest of my life, Eder would be pronounced right and would get rid of my problem with Edmundo)
Ambrose "Amos"
Balthazar "Baz"
Bertram "Bram"
Sebastián "Sebas"From your list, I absolutely adore Josephine "Posy" (that is ADORABLE!), and I like Margaret "Margot" or "Greta", Josephine "Sephie", and "Nell" (but not so much Penelope).

Yes, I usually prefer a more unexpected but still legitimate nickname. Especially ones that would give people a lesson in nickname etymology. :) Like I'd use Mae and Mamie on Margaret when she's little, and I'd use Nan and Nanw for Anne, Nell for Elizabeth, and Jem for James. And out of names I like but wouldn't specifically use:
Bernadette "Etta"
Fionnuala "Fia"
Eugenia, Genevieve, Imogen, Virginia "Ginny" (maybe a few aren't so odd though)
Georgina "Nina"
Katherine "Kitty"
Edwin "Wynn"
George "Geordie"
Gregory "Rory"
Llewellyn "Lyn" (I think most would expect Llew)
Oliver "Noll"Out of your list, I love Margot and Greta as nns for Margaret but my DH doesn't. I think Sephie and Posy are cute. Nell is my favorite nn for Penelope too, and Pen is fine but I'd use it sparingly and do like Penny. I don't like the sound of Nesta at all. I love Aggie for Agnes, but I know that's predictable.
