My DH, his elder sister and both his brothers all got 2 given names, but my sister-in-law Jean didn't. No idea why. I like the name very much, and Jean Elspeth or Jean Matilda or Jean Rosamond would be lovely. I was at school with a Jean Elizabeth, which is also good (and was my MIL's middle name. No clue why they didn't use it.)

It's alright, but a boys name in France and one that seems quite dated at that even though you could say it's a classic. It's like the typical French guy's name. I'm half French and it always makes me think of a guy holding a baguette, maybe because there was a guy named Jean pictured like that in one of my French books. So I never liked it that much on either gender.

I like it, though it is a touch too dull for my list. I love Jeannie more. I'd be more likely to opt for Jane, but I have had back luck with people named Jane in my life, so that is also out.
