I'm currently trying to decide between these three and can't. Love some feedback.
Magdalene - I love, love the name and especially the nn Magda. My worries are that people would try and call her Maggie (I mentioned it to my cousin-in-law and her first response was "And you can call her Maggie!) Blah. I also love Mary Magdalene and there are some pretty cool saints with the name.
Katarina: It's a form of my favorite name of all time, Katherine. I also like it because it's a nod to our heritage (there are a few Katharinas in both trees.) Worry is that people would pronounce it wrongly - kat instead of kaht.
Mariana: It would honor a dear friend of ours and one of my husband's sisters (who is very much worth honoring) Problems including honoring one sibling out of a total of 9, and again people mispronouncing it. (We're pronouncing it mahr-ree-ahna)
Thanks!
