Ty is trendy but I wouldn't call it "not a full name". I know a couple of Tys (or Tai or Tye)...it isn't uncommon here. Jye, Ty and Kai are all fairly well known and substantial enough even if they aren't my style at all.
Obadiah isn't my first pick either but it isn't completely horrible. At least it is a real name with history.
What is horrible is Nathan and Nathaniel as mns.
