My friend is due next month with a baby girl to be named Nyla.

What do you think about it?

Gary Dourdan has a daughter Nyla. Nice name but I prefer variant Naila.

Brittney Spears opened a restaurant and called it Nyla. It stood for New York (Ny-), where the restaurant was located, and Louisiana (-la), where she is from. At least that's the way I remember it.

I don't care for it much, but it's not awful. A similar name that I do like is Nia / Nyah, an African girl's name.

Vaguely reminiscient of nylon, but it's pretty. Do you know the intended middle name?
