I like the name
Skye with an e, after the Scottish island. Without the e it seems more hippyish to me, as it becomes totally a nature name.
My cousin's cousin had a baby recently and called her
Skye. That's the first one I've personally known of here in the UK. Apparently they named her after the character from Neighbours, and the Aussie soap association does put me off the name a bit! I'd be more likely to use it as a mn for that reason and because it does seem "trendy" amongst young/teenage mothers, whereas I would like to go for something a bit more classic.
