I think Lenore is fine on its own, and I'd probably like it if 'Lenor' wasn't a well-known fabric conditioner here.

Lenore reminds me of "The Raven." I can see a major fan using the name for their daughter, though I personally think Annabel Lee would be a better choice.

I don't know...it's nice enough, but I'm not crazy about it. I think it can stand on its own.

I like it, though ideally it's better as a nn for Eleanor. My favourite form of the name is Eleonora though, which I'd consider for a daughter.

The Poe association is kinda cool, actually. I discovered one of my favourite names, Rowena, through a Poe story. He uses a lot of good names.

I loooooove it! It's definitely one of my favourites and near perfect. I like it better than Eleanor and definitely think it can stand alone. Poe is definitely an association but I don't think it renders it unusable. It is sort of dark, but nothing that would keep me from using it.

Lenore has that lovely classic feel to it without the intense popularity. It could very easily stand on it's own and I would prefer it that way instead of being used as a nn for Eleanor (which I don't like nearly as much).

I don't think the average person would make the connection with Edgar Allan Poe. And even if they did, I don't think it would have negative connotations.

I think it's WAAAY better than Elenore. For me, a Poe reference is only a good thing. Thumbs up from me.

I love Lenore. It can definitely stand on its own... I actually consider it a name in its own right.
