[Opinions] Malvina
What are your opinions on this name. Is it usable or very outdated. what impressions do you get when you hear this name. This was my grandmothers name and there is something about its uniquness that I like but am not quite sure about. I also like the fact that it is Scottish which would be nice with our last name.If it is used what nicknames would be possible (Malvie, Mally, Vina).?Are there varients of the name that would be better? (Vina..Malina)

I love, love, love this name! It has been one of my absolute favorites for a long time. I think Vina would make a pretty nickname. Or Malva, which is also a beautiful name on it's own (Malva is the Latin name of the flower Mallow).

I like it, but I would use it as a mn if it was a real kid. Vina and Vin would be nns I would use, although othes like Mally are okay. I think that Vina is better than Malvina, and Malina is a bit less outdated IMO, but I still think Malvina is good.

I'm sorry, but it's always struck me as a bit "witchy" - makes me think of "malevolent".

I have to agree but that was totally the opposite of who my grandmother was. It's really a little too old fashion.
