Help[Opinions] Nikolai ?
What do you think of that name ? knowing that I'm french and the dad too... so we have no links with Russia, but we really love that name !

To answer to Ylva : I know that this name is very common in Denmark ! I live in Denmark now (I go back in France next year) and it's here I've discovered that beautiful name ! :-)

I think Nikolai is a great name. I also don't think it matters if you use it even though you have no Russian heritage.

Nikolai is used in Denmark too, it is not as if only Russians were allowed to use it. Just as most Isabellas don't have Italian roots, their parents just like the name.

I like the name. In fact, I like almost all variations of Nicholas, so I would definitely be inclined to like it.
I actually named one of my newest storybook characters Nikolai. :-) Nice name.

I love Nikolai. Personally, I wouldn't use it because I'm not really Russian (I'm like 1/8 Russian) and I think it the people in my family wouldn't approve, but I wouldn't think it's terrible if someone else did it.
