Story: But alot has happened in the last three months. First of all your father in law died (Mar you can say your dad died or his dad) and your hard to get along with mother in law is scared to live alone so she asks to stay with you. Out of the goodness of your heart you say yes, but only for a short while (you mean a week.. maybe two) but it's been almost three months since then and she's still living with you. To make matters more dramatic the you find out you're pregnant (about 6 weeks), and you and the DH decide to wait to tell the your Mother in Law. Only problem... She's a bit nosy (not in the I'm doing it on purpose way, but the Oh come on! just let me help! kinda way), she also has a "big" mouth and "big" ears (meaning she eavesdrops & can't keep a secret). (BTW You are currently 8 weeks)
How do you and the DH feel when his father dies. What makes you agree to take in the MIL? Do you have a fight about this? Does she help around the house/with the baby? Has the baby started talking yet? Walking? Crawling? Does your baby like the MIL? How do you find out about #2? You weren't trying, were you? How come you didn't notice you were pregnant till you were six weeks? How do you tell your DH? Is he upset? Are you upset? Does the baby sense something? What about Maggie/Brody/Max? Are they acting different like the first time? Is it hard to keep it a secret? Why are you keeping it a secret (idea is to somehow distract her)? Have you told your parents? Does she find out on her own or did you eventually tell her? Anything else?

When Cesare died of a sudden heart attack right before our trip to Italy, the entire family was devastated. Greg loved and respected his father and his death was very difficult for him to deal with. About a week after Cesare's funeral, I got a call from Greg's mother, Oria. She had tried to move back home, but was scared about intruders breaking in or falling down and not having anyone there to help her. I offered to let her stay with us until she got back on her feet. After all, Oria has never been one to fear life. Well, its been three months since she moved in. Don't get me wrong, I love having her around to help us watch Thomas--who is now crawling everywhere, but she has her own way of doing things. Greg and I are both wearying of her constant presence in her house. A few times we've hinted that we'd like her to consider getting an apartment nearby so she can come and visit us, but she just counters by saying something like she could stay home and watch Thomas so both of us can work full time so she wouldn't have to find a job to support herself. Thomas is babbling up a storm, but his only intelligible words so far are things like "Mama", "Dada", "Nana" (Oria), and "Maxy" (the cat). Other than that and a few food words, he doesn't communicate very well.
In other news, I just found out that I'm pregnant again! I was at the doctor for a routine check-up, and when I told him I'd been feeling a little tired and sick, he suggested a pregnancy test. Well, he was right and we're expecting another baby! Greg and I are excited. We weren't expecting another child so soon after Thomas, but we don't mind the kids being close in age. We haven't told Oria yet. Hopefully she'll decide to move out soon and we won't have to hide the truth from her too much longer. Besides, in Greg's family, the women don't usually tell anyone they're pregnant until they start showing. We'll just wait another few months before we break the news to his family. I'm planning to tell my family at our next family gathering in a month.

DMIL: Kathleen Rosetta "Kathy" [Bower] Harper
When my father in law Henry died I felt really sad, more for Jeff and Vicky than myself. Vicky would never get to play hide and seek with him or listen to all his great army stories like Alex (Alessandro) & Ella (Gabriela) got to. Jeff was also very sad. He loved and still does love his father deeply. Well anyways Kathy got scared of living by herself (even thought they have a butler and several maids) so she asked if she could move in with us for a while. At first I wanted to say no. But Jeff said that his father would want us to take care of her so I agreed. The reason she moved in with us instead of Jeff's sisters, according to Jeff, is because that Hannah (30) lives in a small three bedroom apartment with her Husband and two kids (Alex, 6, & Gabriela, almost 3) and is pregnant with another girl (to be named Catriona Henrietta). Rachel (19) however is living with her boy friend and it would be rude to live with them. But apparently living with us is A-Okay because we have a small three bedroom house (with a basement apartment) and are already married. Vicky has taken to her nonna being around alot. And she's also started crawling. If me and Jeff leave the room, nonna becomes another security blanket. Which means more time for Jeff and I, which leads to the next issue. I'm pregnant. I haven't exactly gotten my period back since Vicky's birth (I'm still breastfeeding) but one day I started feeling sick. At that point my mother and law tried to separate me and Vicky as much as possible, but it was impossible because of me breastfeeding Victoria. Kathy was going to visit Hannah (who lives in the France) and Rachel (who lives in Spain) and suggested that she take Victoria with her. But I said no, due to the fact that Jeff was going to be out of town for a while and I wanted someone to stay with me. Then Kathy suggested canceling her trip but I said no (I mean how much mother in law can one person handle?) So the next day she nervously left us.

Let me tell you, it's been one hell of a ride. Firstly, Ollie's stepdad died. It happened really suddenly, a car accident. There was nothing anyone could do. But, Diana, Oliver's mother, absolutely didn't want to live alone in the city. Oliver was absolutely against having his mother come stay with us, but we had a nice sized house and a guest room, so I didn't see what the big deal with it was. In the end, Oliver relented. I think he knows that being stubborn with the world's most stubborn woman, and she's pregnant? Not a great idea. Yeah, I'm pregnant I just found out. I had morning sickness terribly early with this pregnancy. I thought I had just ate something bad, but it turns out I was pregnant. I was estatic. Cameron was such a great baby and he'll get to have a little brother or sister after his first birthday! But anyway, more about Diana. It makes it easier on us, if she's at the house anyway. I mean, she watched Cameron once a day, so now if I have something to need to do and I want to get done quickly, I could ask Diana to watch Cameron, and she's one hundred percent okay with it. Or, at least, that's how she acts. I mean, who knows if she really doesn't want to, you know? We're keeping baby number two unwraps from everyone for a while, wanting to wait out the ride until I start showing, about the end of my first trimester. That's usually when women say that they're pregnant, anyway. I would know, I work with women all day long, five days a week. Telling them should be fun. I hope they don't try and get me anything.

Avy had been devastated upon hearing that her father died. She stayed in her bed for two days straight. Her older sister arranged the funeral mostly, because Avy's mother was also in no state to think clearly. Raff took some days off, to take care of Avy and Fabian during this time. After the funeral Avy's mother asked her is she could spend the night at their place, because she disn't want to be alone. Avy agreed and was actually happy to have her mother around.
A couple of days after the funeral, Avy's mother still didn't want to be alone, so she picked up more of her stuff from her house and stayed at Avy and Raff's place. Raff was less than pleased with this, and only agreed to the situation, because Avy told him it would only be for a week or so. Raff hopes she'll be gone after this.
It's three months after the funeral and Raff and Avy just had a huge fight about Avy's mom again. Avy things she can stay for a little longer. She's helping out with the baby after all, and helps them clean and cook too. She's crazy about Fabian and he is always happy to see her too. Avy screamed at Raff that if anyone has overstayed his welcome, it's his brother Jack. Raff got furious about this; he thinks that situation is completely different, since Jack is a 17 year old who literally has no where else to go if they kick him out, while Avy's mother is a grown woman who has her own house to live in.
To make matters worse Avy's mom is insanely nosy and is usually unaware that she is invading other people's personal space with her 'help'. She keeps asking Raff and Jack about where they're from, how their mother died, where their father is, why he is't in contact with them anymore and other things Avy wouldn't have dared to ask. When she found out Jack wasn't in high school anymore she got very upset and immediately started listing all the schools he could attend etc. Avy is happy she hasn't figured out that Raff hasn't finished high school either... yet...
